Chapter 7 to 10 are a major pivot point in Helga as planned from the start.
Leah, now a naturist, joins Helga and Allan into a Throuple, in which Allan dates both girls. Allan learns that he is related to one of the naturists, and fire watch events occur in which the naturists take turn watching a fire. This usually turns personal.
Chapter 9 and 10 see Allan getting closer to his parents, if we can say that... when his mother shows up on campus and opens up about how Allan grows up.
This is, so far, the only story in which Allan gets close to his mother and rehabilitates his relationship with her. It is hinted in most chapters how bad the relationship is (even more for his with father), but this is the only one where there is a sort of resolution (even if they show up in other story lines).

Rodney was abandoned by his father when his mother became mentally ill and violent. Pledging to help others, he worked to become a police officer and was recruited as a Sheriff's deputy, where he excels. While dating, he found Juliette, who promptly explained she was already pregnant from another man who dumped her when he learned about it... This, made Rodney furious and when he realized he wanted to marry Juliette, deciding to be her child's father was natural.
