Oh wow, I can't believe this blog is still on.

First, apologies. I haven't been updating it for a while so I guess I should tell you what's been happening.

I work, for a commercial vehicle conversion company. I shouldn't say, you can easily find my employer online, but at this point, I don't care. I even told a few of my colleagues I was in chastity.

The more powerful the motors, the more energy drain, and thus, the more batteries are needed and they are, the number one cost.

One of my proudest achievement was delivery trucks for a local shipping broker. They deliver furniture and building material locally. They realized most of their trips were short, so electric made sense.

I installed less than the minimum they needed, but kept their diesel tank. What I did is add a generator running on their diesel lines so that they run it only on the destination to power the lift at the back, while charging the batteries.

They have enough charge to get almost anywhere in town, but if they are at the end of their range, the generator while they unload, gives them some electricity back.

The lift at the back uses a lot of power, so the generator is rather powerful. When operating, the battery charges at normal speed, but when not operating, like when it's at the top or the bottom, the battery charging switches to high speed.

When they turn off the lift, the generator turns off, but if their battery goes too low while driving back, it spins back up.

They didn't get carbon zero, but they save almost of the gas for travelling back and forth, only using the generator while at the end of the range when it was fast to unload.

The kicker, is that the money saved on additional batteries, meant they did their whole fleet in a year, instead of one truck per year.

I got a nice bonus which went to a down payment on our house. We had been renting, month by month, a crummy apartment since we graduated and it was a breath of fresh air when we moved out of there.

I wanted our spare room to be a BDSM dungeon. It made sense, but Tara, now my wife, reminded me of a few details.

One, we didn't have enough actual BDSM stuff to fill a room. Our bedroom would be enough. Two, the cost of the move, of a car, of the house, was a drain on our finances and we needed a safety cushion. And don't think the weekends are any better! She works alternate Saturdays, and we have the farmer's market, and stupid barbecues with neighbors we don't even like. And sometimes, it's us hosting the barbecue so that we need to spend days cleaning a house we barely dirty up since we almost only use the living room and the shower in the master bedroom bathroom.

Fuck, we even usually shit at work. Both of us. Well, not on weekends, but you know what I mean. We rush to work, barely eat breakfast, eat our lunches together, and then, grab something from a takeout.

We only cook over the weekend. Barely, and mostly to prepare lunches.

Lather, rinse and repeat.

Once, I threw a fit, and reminded her of everything we used to do. "We are adults now, Carter, grow the fuck up", she said.

But I didn't let go. In the end, she accepted to spend a day with Mindy. It was a compromise, but she knew something I didn't. Mindy only plays with students, and we weren't students anymore.

Oh, she will not admit she knew, but she did.
