College Chastity Choice Game 2

I get back from my first day back to college, for hopefully my final year of studying.

Doctor of civil engineering. That's a dream I didn't think I would achieve, and in less than a year, hopefully, I will have.

Graduate school was a breeze. Even easy. Sure, my colleagues struggled, but I didn't. This is all so obvious.

Everything in civil engineering is designed to save lives and money. It's that simple.

Once you get that, everything else is simple. Well, that and knowing the green book inside out. Of course.

My Master's thesis was more complicated because there is no set time to finish it. Sure, you have classes and they are absolutely thrilling. The one about legislation and lobbying seemed boring at first, but was just so perfect eventually.

It's pretty much what inspired me to keep going and go get a doctorate. That, and the massively different pay scale.

Heck yeah. I mean, when Kanan announced he was fine paying my tuition fees, that helped sway my decision. He comes from an investment family. His grandfather, back in India, stroke is rich. I am not certain how, but he did. His father got a large sum when he immigrated to America to help kick-start his life invested it in local businesses, growing his investment tenfold within a few years.

Kanan got the same initial investment as his father did. No, wait, that's not true. His father gave him the same in buying power.

Ok, I'll tell you. My father-in-law got a million dollars to make it in America and is now worth over a hundred million.

So, he save 3 millions to his son, which is, according to him, the same buying power as the million he got.

Kanan got busy, and investigated several possible companies to invest in. He decided to follow his father's advice: invest is the shit you know.

My father-in-law worked in restaurants, so he bought shares in many restaurant chains to help them grow, and with it, grow his shared.

The one thing he didn't do, was franchises. He doesn't understand them, so he steered away from them.

But he took a local rotisserie chain which owned its own chicken slaughterhouse and got them to expand to multiple states. He took a small pizza chain and did the same, which is hard with the competition from Domino's, Papa John and Little Caesars and all of the others.

And yet, he turned a profit, and invested that profit in other ventures, like a frozen food distribution company to offer the special sauces and food items from his restaurants. He diversified, but always doing a lot of research.

Kanan is doing the same, but all he knows are clothes and clubs and both of them are too volatile to turn a profit, that is for sure.

And yet, he met me, and seeing what I was studying in, grew interested in civil engineering. No to become one, but to invest in civil engineering firms.

Quickly, he hit a wall. Most of the small firms are partner owned. That means that you need to be a civil engineer to invest and to work full time for the firm.

The bigger ones are listed, which means that owners are distant from the company unless they are on the board and even then, it's limited.

He thus needs to find firms which are more than local consulting ones, and less than a large conglomerate.

In fact, his plan was to form his own conglomerate!

Using my knowledge, he decided to get me to continue my studies so I would be in the best position to help him.

I was skeptical, but he basically sees us as a two members management team. Him with the financial know how, and me with the civil engineering knowledge.

Except... now I need two things to make this happen. To actually finish my degree, and to be able to stay married to him.

I look at the house. Did he leave the dishes that dirty on purpose or he is stupid?

God, do I have to do everything around here?

I know he is busy scouting firms, but come on. He was working from home. Where the fuck is he?

Grabbing everything, I see that there is dried food so nothing was rinsed even from his lunch break. Shit, his breakfast dishes are at the bottom of the sink. I work hard to scrub the worst, and then, put everything in the dishwasher, which of course, wasn't started. I squeeze everything in the dishwasher as good as I can, and start it, putting a soap block in the dispenser.

Searching, I find him playing a stupid video game in his office, with his headset on.

"Hey, welcome back!"

"What the fuck, you prefer playing a game to doing the dishes?"

"Hey Baby, we have a dishwasher, you know? I had a good day and just hoped to unwind a bit"

"So, instead of scrapping the food off and filling it, you leave it up to me?"

He laughs. "You don't need to pre-soak or scrub. That's what the dishwasher is for. I'll fill it up soon"

"It doesn't work Kanan. And I already started it"

"Did you put the gel?", says Kanan

"We have tabs"

"Yeah, for the washing, but we need the gel for the pre-wash"

"What the fuck are you talking about, Kanan"

"Do you know why there is a little door on the soap?"

"I don't Kanan", I say, exasperated

"It's so that your soap isn't used in the pre-wash cycle, but if you put some dishwasher gel in the other container or just anywhere in the dishwasher, it eliminates most of the big parts, so the main cycle works better. You did let the hot water run, right?"

"What?"

"Oh God, you don't know that Nikki? You turn on the hot tap, and let it run until it's hot"

"The dishwasher does it, no?"

"Hell no. It uses almost no water."

"Then you should have started it"

"I guess I should have. I didn't realize you didn't know how to start it!"

"Really, that's your take? Not to actually do your part?"

"My part? The dishwasher is both our part, no?"

"Well, I do it most of the time"

"I prefer to start it before going to bed"

"Right, and I wake up earlier than you do, so I have to empty it?"

"No. I will. You are just too fast for me"

"Did you do anything today?", I ask him

"As a matter of fact, I did. I had a productive talk with a civil engineering construction group who need to expand into civil engineering, but don't have the budget to"

"I mean, in the house"

"Oh, I made my lunch, is that you mean?"
I sigh.

"Never mind. So, investment opportunity?", I say.

"Yeah, I will meet with them later this week. They have lucrative contracts but lose a ton of money on engineering costs"

"Good. Did you plan something for supper?"

"Not really? Do we order pizza?", says Kanan

"Kanan, I don't have a job, you don't really have one, and you are always up to pay for deliveries. We have food in the pantry and the fridge"

"Yeah, but I was hoping to celebrate?"

"To celebrate a talk with a company you don't even have the finance details yet?"

"It's coming. And soon"

"Let's celebrate then. But if you really want pizza, there is a college party off campus with free pizza"

"The best kind! Let's roll!", he says
